It's always nice to see two stylish ladies who can work together to create something so fun. These two best friends challenge the trappings of motherhood with their blog, Peaches in a Pod. Read the interview to find out more about this Atlanta-based duo and check out Peaches in a Pod!
DM: Start from the beginning... Why/When did you both start blogging?
WD & BB: We started blogging as an outlet for ourselves. We are both raising families and, although that is wonderful, but it’s really easy to get caught up in if you allow it to be your only identity.
We had both been toying around with the idea of a blog for a while and this past January we put it into action. The response that we have received from people has been overwhelming. We love working on it together and it has really made our friendship stronger.
DM: Describe your personal style. Who are your personal style influencers?
DM: What is your goal with the blog?
WD & BB: Outfit inspiration is really why we started this. We have always turned to each other for that and we started the blog in order to share that with others. Staring at your closet in the morning before you have to be somewhere is very intimidating for anyone unless you have a plan of what you are going to wear, so we hope that we can help form that plan. As much as we would like to be, not everyone is Rachel Zoe who can just grab five fabulous pieces, make them work and walk out the door. Most of us need inspiration. From a business point of view, we are so new that all of this is kind of overwhelming. The support that we have gotten over the past four months has been beyond what we had hoped for. We would like to be able to continue our growth and work with new brands so we can inspire more people.
DM: Describe the differences between both of your styles. Do you ladies ever swap clothes?
